The 381st Intelligence Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base AK provides decisive information operations to the Commander, Eleventh Air Force and National Decision Makers. The 381st Intelligence Squadron was originally activated on 24 Aug 1942 as the 951st Radio Company at Harding Field, Louisiana and moved to Europe during WWII. Then in 1950, the squadron was moved to its current location at Elmendorf Air Force Base as the 3rd Radio Squadron Mobile. The squadron has grown considerably since then. It now provides information and services to Air Force, Army, and Navy commanders throughout the world at local and national levels with a staff of approximately 305 personnel and divided into six divisions.
