Harris Battery

Harris' Battery [also called 4th Battery] was organized early in 1864 and served in C. Greene's and J. B. Clark's Brigade in the Trans-Mississippi Department. It was active in the fight at Poison Spring, then took part in Price's Missouri Expedition. In 1865 the unit was serving a heavy battery at Grand Ecore, Louisiana, and surrendered there. It was commanded by Captain S. S. Harris.
