Perkins' Cavalry Regiment

Perkins' Cavalry Regiment was organized during the spring of 1864. It was attached to Colonel C. H. Tyler's Brigade, Trans-Mississippi Department, and served in Price's Missouri Expedition. The unit was unarmed and for the most part guarded the flanks of the wagon train, losing 5 killed and 13 wounded. Early in 1865 it disbanded. Colonel Caleb Perkins was in command.
