Searcy's Cavalry Regiment

Searcy's Cavalry Regiment was assembled during the summer of 1864. It was assigned to Colonel C. H. Tyler's Brigade, Trans-Mississippi Department, and was part of Price's Missouri Expedition. The unit was unarmed and served as wagon train guards. It lost 3 killed and 4 wounded. The regiment disbanded before the surrender in June, 1865. Its commander was Colonel James J. Searcy.
