Organized July 12, 1863, to repel the Morgan Raid. Mustered out July 18, 1863.
Field & Staff with Officers of Companies--NCO Staff
The One Hundred and Eighth Regiment--Consisted of ten companies of Minute Men. Tippecanoe county furnished five companies; Howard county two companies; Carroll, Montgomery and Wayne counties on the 12th of July, 1863, with Wm. C. Wilson as Colonel, and contained an aggregate of seven hundred and ten rank and file. On the night of the 13th of July the regiment left Indianapolis by rail, and reached Hamilton, Ohio, at daybreak the next morning. Thence it proceeded to Cincinnati, and on the 18th of July, 1863, returned to Indianapolis and was mustered out.
