Organized at Philadelphia January 29 to May 31, 1864. Duty at Fort Mifflin and on provost duty at Philadelphia entire term. Mustered out August 15, 1865.

Lost 17 by disease.

This regiment was recruited in the city of Philadelphia, from the 29th of January, to the 31st of May, 1864. for three years, and was organized with Henry A. Frink, as Colonel. Colonel Frink had served as Major and Lieutenant Colonel of the Eleventh Regiment, and upon taking command, was appointed Provost Marshal of the city of Philadelphia, his regiment being assigned to provost duty. In the discharge of this duty, it remained until the 15th of August, 1865, when it was mustered out of service.
