(Note: You will notice that reading the "background" on these officers, they will be listed as a lower grade compared to when they finally retired from the Navy. Some of the updated information as to their rank is taken from find-a-grave.) It will also be noted that the men listed retired from the Navy or left the Navy for other reasons. Mostly they served 30-40 years in the Navy. As you will also notice dates in the middle to late 1890's. Also, there are a LOT more officers that served. On the PDF files, I found 7 books.
The information on a majority of the officers will have additions to them, this is due to the editions of the PDF books. Information will be similar with minor additions.
